Idoing 10,2 Zoll Android 12 Radio-Headunit für Toyota Corolla 11 2012-2016 E170 E180

First the positive. The new radio head unit is pretty much exactly what I was hoping for, giving me easy access to Android Auto along with a much bigger display screen. It looks really nice compared to my old tiny console. I wish Android Auto was a bit more consistent on booting up, but I've seen the same issues on other cars so I assume it has nothing to do with the design of the Idoing system.

The main negatives that I have concern the installation. I feel Idoing should have provided more clear instructions on the process, in particular and good, professional, installation video that explains all of the cables and which ones you will and will not need to use. They gave me a link to someone doing the install, which certainly was helpful, but it glossed over several important factors. I found another installation video online for a Subaru and it answered a lot of my unanswered questions. I just wish I had something like it before I did the install on my Corolla.

One thing which surprised me is that the trim piece that connects the radio the main dash trim was not compatible with my model of Corolla. Since Idoing asked me which model of car I had I would have expected they would supply the correct piece. I had to take a dremel tool to the provided trim in order to get the piece to fit properly.

After installation, one of the first things you need to do is set the Can Box type to match your model of car. There are a *lot* of Can Box types, and unfortunately there was no information on which one should be used for my model of Corolla. I asked Idoing tech support which one I should select but their answer was vague and I have yet to find a Can Box setting the exactly matches the features of my Corolla. As a result the system thinks I have rear heating which doesn't actually exist on my model.

One installation issue I had which Idoing's tech support helped me solve was that the system came with a bad fuse. When the head unit did not boot up I was completely lost, but they suggested that I replace the fuse and fortunately I was able to get the correct type at a local hardware store.

I would definitely recommend this head unit, I just wish Idoing provided better installation instructions.

It was easy to install, they give you links to installation videos. It was also easy to program to my liking, they also give you a link to a descriptive video.

This is an awesome unit and entire kit! Everything was included, all adapters and wires needed. Seller was great and contacted me after purchase to verify if the item would fit with my vehicle prior to mailing it out. Excellent customer service and infotainment system!
